Local Area
Not too far away you can discover Westonbirt Arboretum, Badminton village, (home of the famous horse trials), Castle Coombe, Dyrham Park and several golf courses. If you want some retail therapy, try Chipping Sodbury or Yate which are just a few miles away and offer a range of both independent shops and larger supermarkets.

Now the important bit, - Old Sodbury has two great pubs. The Cross Hands Hotel is just a few minutes walk from the site, you will pass it en route to us. The pub is part of the Greene King group and is a charming old posting house. It serves a range of traditional English food, accompanied with real ales, premium lagers and fine wines and a selection of gins. It also offers free WiFi and is dog friendly apart from the restaurant.
The Dog Inn is a fifteen minute walk from the site a real "English Pub" over 500 years old and grade 2 listed. It serves a large and varied menu with ample choice for vegetarians, and again dogs are welcome.
